This is a 3-Part, reproducible PDF file that guides students through a group project activity that should fill up 3 or 4, 40-minute class periods. Students start by learning from a pre-made melody, finding patterns and creating their own percussion accompaniment. In Part 2, students add their own ostinato bass part, leading to Part 3 where students combine these skills to create their own 16 measure melody, ostinato part, and percussion accompaniment. Groups are encouraged to perform their creations at the end of every part. A great end of year activity for any choir class!
